His coaching foundation includes two years of university volleyball and experience as both a participant and instructor at UNB Volleyball Camps in the early 1990s.
Edgar is a Certified Development Coach with Volleyball Canada and has coached extensively at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. His school-based experience spans active living programs, badminton, basketball, and volleyball, with eight years of middle school volleyball and multiple years at the JV high school level. His athletes have consistently earned strong district and provincial results, including first-place district finishes and Tier 1 provincial podiums.
Across the past four club seasons, Edgar’s teams have trained through approximately 400 practice hours, competed in over 50 tournaments, and played more than 700 sets. During this period, his teams have earned 27 podium finishes, highlighted by a 4th-place result at Nationals (Tier 1) and a 2nd-place provincial finish at the club level, as well as top-four provincial results at the middle school level.
Edgar’s coaching approach blends technical development, competitive readiness, and a balanced athlete-first philosophy. His consistent results at both school and club levels reflect his ability to elevate team performance while supporting strong, sustainable growth in young athletes.
